I'm supposed to babble about myself here, huh? All right then.
I'm European and a kid of the 90s, meaning I grew up in a time when most of your pocket money was spent on AA batteries, playing with your friends was always prefaced with a debate about who would be the red Power Ranger (or Lion-O), just saying "Hakuna Matata" in class invariably resulted in an impromptu musical and parents yelled at their kids to get off the net so they could use the phone.
Sometimes I miss those days... Though not the net. 90s net is pretty much the reason why download sites "punishing" you with long download times doesn't work. What do I care if I have to wait 30 minutes for 300 MB to finish? I used to need two minutes to load a freaking site. The days of glorious 50kbps, people.
Anyway, at around 2008 I grew into a big Gundam Wing fan and have been stuck in the fandom ever since (though I like to take long vacations). Considering I'm severely late to the party, it's always fun to talk to fellow fans, as discussions are often more mature by now.
Not all of them though.
It's also interesting that Gundam Seed turned me into a Wing fan. As I watched that series, I got so fed up with all the crying and indecisiveness that I wanted to see someone badass. Cue me watching Wing again after ages and falling in love with the plot and characters.
And though I have a million issues with it, I do like Seed. Mostly the first half, where Kira is likeable. I have yet to see 00 though, which is supposed to be a remake of Wing, but that's because I dropped it after the first episode. Sorry fans, but that dude switching personalities in the cheesiest way imaginable was enough to turn me off. I don't know if I'll ever get past that.
As far as anime goes, I don't really watch new stuff anyway. I guess I've become extremely picky. Naruto started out so well and ended in such a massive blaze of fail that I really don't want to waste my time like that again. Good thing I gave up on One Piece long ago and never started with Bleach.
Instead, I currently spend my time writing about all sorts of things and playing N64. Banjo-Kazooie, Zelda, Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini... you name it, I play it. I'm also one of those oddballs who love to play songs on Link's ocarina. I recently got Berk's and Hiccup's theme from How to Train your Dragon down. You know, the opening and Test Drive. The musical scale may be a little off, but hey.
And I guess that's enough babbling. Was I supposed to keep this short or something? Eh.
By the way, no, I don't live in Antarctica. Though it's so effin' cold outside, you could've fooled me.
