My Bio
I'm supposed to babble about myself here, huh? All right then.

I'm European and a kid of the 90s, meaning I grew up in a time when most of your pocket money was spent on AA batteries, playing with your friends was always prefaced with a debate about who would be the red Power Ranger (or Lion-O), just saying "Hakuna Matata" in class invariably resulted in an impromptu musical and parents yelled at their kids to get off the net so they could use the phone.

Sometimes I miss those days... Though not the net. 90s net is pretty much the reason why download sites "punishing" you with long download times doesn't work. What do I care if I have to wait 30 minutes for 300 MB to finish? I used to need two minutes to load a freaking site. The days of glorious 50kbps, people.

Anyway, at around 2008 I grew into a big Gundam Wing fan and have been stuck in the fandom ever since (though I like to take long vacations). Considering I'm severely late to the party, it's always fun to talk to fellow fans, as discussions are often more mature by now.

Not all of them though.

It's also interesting that Gundam Seed turned me into a Wing fan. As I watched that series, I got so fed up with all the crying and indecisiveness that I wanted to see someone badass. Cue me watching Wing again after ages and falling in love with the plot and characters.
And though I have a million issues with it, I do like Seed. Mostly the first half, where Kira is likeable. I have yet to see 00 though, which is supposed to be a remake of Wing, but that's because I dropped it after the first episode. Sorry fans, but that dude switching personalities in the cheesiest way imaginable was enough to turn me off. I don't know if I'll ever get past that.

As far as anime goes, I don't really watch new stuff anyway. I guess I've become extremely picky. Naruto started out so well and ended in such a massive blaze of fail that I really don't want to waste my time like that again. Good thing I gave up on One Piece long ago and never started with Bleach.

Instead, I currently spend my time writing about all sorts of things and playing N64. Banjo-Kazooie, Zelda, Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini... you name it, I play it. I'm also one of those oddballs who love to play songs on Link's ocarina. I recently got Berk's and Hiccup's theme from How to Train your Dragon down. You know, the opening and Test Drive. The musical scale may be a little off, but hey.

And I guess that's enough babbling. Was I supposed to keep this short or something? Eh.
By the way, no, I don't live in Antarctica. Though it's so effin' cold outside, you could've fooled me.
Back from the dead and rolling out the essays. Sorry, no new FT spoofs yet.

Here they go again. Avatar creators sure love their shipping war bait. So I guess the biggest debate in recent Korra fandom was the season 4 finale, namely the Korra/Asami thing. Half the fandom is calling it bad writing, renouncing its credibility and canonicity on those grounds, while the other half is calling them homophobes and rejoice at DiMartino's and Konietzko's oh so daring choice to incorporate the relationship, praising it as a step forward towards acceptance of gay (or in this case, bisexual) characters in western media. And I'm honestly sitting here laughing my head off because the folks from the States think they have the mono

Have you ever been in the situation where, after rewatching a series, you revisited fanfics you had thought were the most awesome thing in your teenage years, but upon rereading them groaned at your own ignorance as to what good writing is (both in terms of writing itself as well as characterization and story)? Does Traitor to the Cause, Bridlewood Manor or Final Mission Status ring a bell? Truth be told, I never read GW fics in my teens, as I truly joined the fandom at around 2008, after I watched Gundam Seed (I know Seed aired in 2000; I'm habitually late to parties). So when I feel stupid or masochistic enough to dabble in them, I don't

I agree wholeheartedly! Your Frozen Teardrop parodies made my day! Thank you for that :) (Smile)
You're most welcome. I'll try to add to that, even if my muse is more difficult to get a hold of than a living eel.
I love all your GW stuff. The frozen teardrop comics are funny.
I'm glad I attain my aim. ;)

Hopefully I can stop being lazy for long enough to continue to do so.
i absolutely LOVE your frozen teardrop parodies!
Thank you very much. And sorry for taking like half a year to reply. :P
that's all right
